THIS WEEK’S BUY ONE / GIVE ONE MEAL IS: Pork OR Vegan Feijoada
Gnarly Vines Farm prepared two types of Feijoada dishes this week; Pork and Vegan. Let us know which you would like when you come to pick up your meal. We will have plenty of both options. Many call this comfort food the national dish of Brazil. Brazilian Feijoada owes its name to its main ingredient black beans (feijão). A rich stew traditionally made from different parts of the pig, served atop farofa, toasted cassava flour. Gnarly Vines used their own woods raised pork for the pork version, and the vegan version contains local mushrooms and vegetables. Both are served atop jasmine rice and shredded collard greens tossed in a vinaigrette.

HOW IT WORKS
The number of meals (“Tickets”) you purchase below will be reserved for you to pick up and enjoy on Wednesday June 7th from 4pm-6pm in the back parking lot. Follow the signage!
For every BOGO meal you purchase and enjoy at home, we will reserve one to distribute for free to our community partners. Meals are served frozen and ready-to-heat and eat at home.

The “Buy One / Give One” community supported meal share is a part of our Nourish Our Neighbors food assistance program. Nourish Our Neighbors was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to provide free meals and food access resources for our neighbors in a time of need. Since March 2020, we have distributed more than 50,000 meals.
Beyond feeding people but in uncertain times, Nourish Our Neighbors is preserving and creating jobs, circulating dollars in our local economy, building community and providing HOPE! Meals are sourced as locally as possible and made by our member companies.

Juicy, herbaceous bone-in chicken thighs with a crispy, golden skin. Served with a perfect portion of zesty lemon rice and Italian green beans with diced tomatoes. Ginny McQueen of Shady Lane Granola meals are always creative, scrumptious, and made with lots of love.
