THIS WEEK’S BUY ONE / GIVE ONE MEAL IS: Mini Meatloaves and Macaroni and Cheese with Broccoli by Savory Fare
Savory Fare clients LOVE these dishes !!! This not-too-spicy meatloaf receives raves from folks who say they don’t like meatloaf and meatloaf lovers alike. Here, ground beef, with celery, bell peppers, and scallions, is prepared with a lively seasoning of a variety of peppers (black, white, and cayenne) and cumin. The Mini-Mac and Cheese is addictive with its crispy topping and very cheesy sauce. Broccoli with Lemon is the perfect addition to this delicious and nourishing meal.
INGREDIENTS: Ground beef, milk, onion, celery, bell pepper, scallions, ketchup, egg, bread crumbs, vegetable oil, Worcestershire Sauce, salt, cayenne, pepper, cumin, nutmeg; macaroni, cheese, bread, milk, flour, butter, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and cayenne; Broccoli, lemon, extra-virgin olive oil, salt, pepper.

HOW IT WORKS
The number of meals (“Tickets”) you purchase below will be reserved for you to pick up and enjoy on Wednesday, March 16th between 4 to 7pm in the backyard. For every BOGO meal you purchase and enjoy at home, we will reserve one to distribute for free to our community partners. Meals are served frozen and ready-to-heat and eat at home.

The “Buy One / Give One” community supported meal share is a part of our Nourish Our Neighbors food assistance program. Nourish Our Neighbors was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to provide free meals and food access resources for our neighbors in a time of need. Since March 2020, we have distributed more than 30,000 meals to East Bay residents.
Beyond feeding people but in uncertain times, Nourish Our Neighbors is preserving and creating jobs, circulating dollars in our local economy, building community and providing HOPE! Meals are sourced as locally as possible and made by our member companies.
