THIS WEEK’S BUY ONE / GIVE ONE MEAL IS: Penne and Meatballs with Great Aunt Louise’s Family Sauce by: Great Aunt Louise’s
Cassandra is using her renowned Family Sauce to create her first Nourish Our Neighbors meal. Sundays were for family so everyone got together in the kitchen and created the Family Sauce. The pot of sauce would cook all day while the homemade pastas were being made. It’s thick, flavorful and filling, you can is in on pizza dough too! Crushed tomatoes and tomato paste flavored with garlic, onion, bay leaf, oregano, and basil with minimal sugar and salt. You can watch it being made right here at Hope & Main in this video. A very hearty sauce used by generations of our Northern Italian family, now sharing with you!

HOW IT WORKS
The number of meals (“Tickets”) you purchase below will be reserved for you to pick up and enjoy on Wednesday September 6th from 4pm-6pm in the back parking lot, follow the signage!
For every BOGO meal you purchase and enjoy at home, we will reserve one to distribute for free to our community partners. Meals are served frozen and ready-to-heat and eat at home.

The “Buy One / Give One” community supported meal share is a part of our Nourish Our Neighbors food assistance program. Nourish Our Neighbors was created in response to the COVID-19 pandemic as a way to provide free meals and food access resources for our neighbors in a time of need. Since March 2020, we have distributed more than 50,000 meals.
Beyond feeding people but in uncertain times, Nourish Our Neighbors is preserving and creating jobs, circulating dollars in our local economy, building community and providing HOPE! Meals are sourced as locally as possible and made by our member companies.
