Schoolyard Twilight Party
Our 2019 party was a smashing success!
Hope you’re ready to party with us again, friends.
Small Bites + Raw Bar + Specialty Cocktails, Beer & Wine + Live, Local Music & Performers + Raffles & Games
“This event is a real inside taste of the local food experience.”
–Lisa Raiola, Founder & President of Hope & Main
This annual event showcases the incredible variety of products and businesses that we have the privilege of working with. Rhode Island’s food culture is revered by many, and we love that Hope & Main have an impact on one of the country’s most rivaled destinations for food.
When we were young, the schoolyard was a place we all went to let loose, have fun and be with friends. This party is set here to remind us that taking breaks from work and routine is good for all of us. Eat, drink and play with us, food friends! We are out here taking time to celebrate and indulge with all of the amazing people that make food their business.
Come as you are, and come hungry!
The ‘yard will be full of tented stations offering sweet and savory small bites – our members and graduates create a very special menu that features the latest and greatest of Hope & Main history! Take your time strolling around and tasting, talking and toasting…Your ticket is your access to all the good eats! (and feel free to wear your stretchy pants, there’s no formal dress code here)
Your support means a great deal. All tickets come with a complimentary drink as a gesture of our appreciation. When you’re ready for another drink you’ll find a cash bar stocked with local beer, wine and spirits as well as delicious non-alcoholic options.
THIS IS A RAIN OR SHINE SHINDIG!
See you there?
Tickets are $45 for adults in advance, $10 for kids under 12. The day-of, adult tickets are $55.
Have questions? We’re happy to help! Visit us at Schoolyard Market on Wednesdays between 4-7pm to learn more, or call 401-245-7400.
Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit our nonprofit mission, providing incubation and education programs for entrepreneurs of all means!

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Not only has Steve been praised for his excellent musicianship and soulful voice he has also been nominated for numerous awards. He is a must see live. Steve Allain is currently living in Providence, Rhode Island and playing as a solo artist as well as in Cardboard Ox (www.cardboardoxmusic.com) a duo with established singer-songwriter Tracie Potochnik.
This is the band that, in the midst of torrential rain during 2018’s Twilight Party, just kept playing harder! It was very memorable, to say the least, and we are thrilled to welcome them back again this year!
ABOUT THE BAND: Since 2012, Hollow Turtle has been crafting songs together and developing a bluegrass style all their own. With Nick Preite on mandolin, Alfie Purcell on guitar, James Cappelletti on banjo, Joe Cappelletti on the upright bass, and Ben Richard sawing the fiddle, they bring a ruckus to a traditional style, while tying it all together with tightly wound vocal harmonies.
WE APPRECIATE YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT!
We are grateful for the continued support from our community! We are working hard to continue to transform the landscape of Rhode Island’s food economy. We are proud to have established partnerships and strong support from local individuals and organizations that understand the significant role food plays in our communities, and especially our economy.
Hope & Main is proudly assisting in the development of small food and food-related businesses through providing the resources and education necessary for success, while reducing the risks that are often prohibitive for start-ups. Our signature approach has made a significant impact for Rhode Island, including the following accomplishments:
- Assisted more than 200 food businesses since October 2014
- Created over 200 jobs
- Poured $2.7 million into the local food economy
What we bring to the table matters. We strive to inspire conversations between makers and consumers, and encourage a holistic understanding of food from production to consumption and its subsequent effect on the quality of our lives, community and planet.
